Rising Gas Prices Means Less Obesity?

Who would have thought? Apparently the rising cost of gas/petrol is translating to people having to actually walk! Go figure!

So how could this be? Well people are leaving the cars at home and walking to the bus stop, train station or simply hoping on their bike and peddling to work.

Combine this with people also being unable to afford to eat out as much because of the rising cost of gas and actually having to prepare a meal at home means they are eating much better too.

So there you go, simply by walking and eating a home cooked meal you could be one of the 15% who manage to lower their weight in this manner.

Parents need to get smart, educate yourselves on what is and what is not good for your children. I just don’t believe for one second that parents DON’T already know this stuff they just DON’T have the inclination to enforce it!

I was only driving along yesterday when I was passing some children walking home from school and honestly it just breaks my heart to see the size of some of these children. How are they expected to have self esteem when they are so overweight. I just shake my head in disbelief……

Parents Must Be Responsible

More and evidence is emerging that points the finger directly at the parents as the main cause of childhood obesity, especially between the ages of 2-10 years.

I for one would have to agree with that! Who buys the groceries in your house? The children or the adults? Who cooks the meals in your house? The children or the adults?

I think in 99.9% of cases we would all have to agree that the adults are the sole providers of groceries and cooking/preparation of meals.

So get a grip parents, reality check here - BUY healthy food, PREPARE healthy food. It’s really not that hard! Look I’ll even point you in the direction of free cookbooks click here.

Look around that site and you will more free information BUT use it!

Over and out…….
